If you want, you can stick the grendels in with the paranhas or in the recycler and get rid of them, which makes them increadibly pointless, except for the gene splicer which I have not yet tried. Overall, just get the game if you like games like this.
It is true to life, and absolutely wonderful. The amazing graphics and sound effects add so much to the game, and you will be amazed at the way your creatures act, perhaps even feeling somewhat upset when a grendel kills one of the norns.
